Matchday 7 of the 2021-22 Bundesliga season drew an average of 24,364 spectators per match, from Friday 01 to Sunday 03/10/2021. The average fill rate was 45.9%.

These very low figures, unusual in the German championship, can be explained by the limited capacities (from 30-50% depending on the stadium in August, from approximately 30-70% since Matchday 4, 80% at the RheinEnergieStadion in Cologne since Matchday 7) imposed by the public authorities in all German regions since the start of the season due to the health crisis relating to the Covid-19 pandemic.
