Italy: FIGC unveils a new institutional logo, different from that of the Italian national team

The Italian Football Federation has presented a new institutional logo, created by Independent Ideas, a creative agency belonging to Publicis Groupe. The FIGC is thus in line with other European Federations (such as Belgium, Germany or Spain) which have also made choice to distinguish the crest displayed on national team shirts from the logo of the Federation as an institution (see below), according to the Italian body on 04/10/2021.

The presentation took place in the presence of Gabriele Gravina, president of the FIGC, and Lapo Elkann (Gianni Agnelli's grandson), president of the Laps Foundation and of Independent Ideas.

"The image of the FIGC is renewed, as a modern and authoritative logo is added to the shield and stands out on the Azzurri shirt, which also graphically depicts the innovation process desired by president Gabriele Gravina," explained the Italian Federation.
