2021-22 LaLiga Santander: attendance for Matchday 8 (average 20,729 spectators per match)

Matchday 8 of the 2021-22 LaLiga Santander season drew an average of 20,729 spectators per game, from Friday 01 to Sunday 03/10/2021. The average fill rate was 64.7%.

The Spanish championship is back to attendance figures that are more in line with those within stadiums prior to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. Matchday 8 marks the end of the partial capacity restrictions imposed by the public authorities on all Spanish stadiums since the beginning of the season due to the health crisis.

A maximum capacity of 40% was decreed at national level at the beginning of August 2021, before increasing to 60% in September, with some local authorities maintaining a lower capacity limit, such as Catalonia (30% in August, then 40%) and the Basque Country (20%, then 30%, with exceptions notably in Navarre).
