Olympique Lyonnais: EA Sports (video games), partner since 2005-06, extends partnership from 2021-22

EA Sports, an American video game publisher belonging to the Electronic Arts group, has extended as an official supplier of Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) from 2021-22, announced the club on 06/10/2021. The agreement was negotiated by the marketing agency Sportfive.

A partner of OL since 2005-06, EA Sports is one of the longest-standing partners of the Lyon-based club. "As part of this renewal, FIFA 22, a video game officially released on 01/10/2021, is including more official elements of the club in order to provide players with increasingly realistic content," explained Olympique Lyonnais.

The American publisher continues to benefit from the status of official supplier, the fifth level in OL's sponsorship hierarchy, alongside Intermarché, Coca-Cola (beverages) and McDonald's.

"The two partners will work together on the implementation of special operations with Lyon's professional players and on the creation of exclusive content for social networks in order to activate the partnership and create synergies between the club's fans and those of the FIFA franchise," explained…
