The New York Jets, an American football franchise of the NFL (National Football League), have launched a loyalty plan for their season ticket holders starting 2014-15, the club announced on 22/07/2014.

Season ticket holders, via their smart cards, will accumulate points for their attendance at games, their relationships with media partners, their seats in the stadium, their years spent as ticket holders and their commitment to the New York Jets. According to the number of points they have received, fans will be rewarded (with a trip to a road game on the team plane, seats in the official box of Woody Johnson, the New York Jets' owner, Super Bowl tickets...).

"Most rewards programs are based on points for every dollar. Ours is the opposite. The principal way to earn points is behaviour, most notably attendance at games," said Seth Rabinowitz, vice-president for marketing and fan engagement, on 22/07/2014.

The long-term goal of the New York Jets is the extension of this loyalty program to non-game events in relation to the team's sponsors, the wire service AP reported on 22/04/2014.
