Nations League: head-to-head Italy - Spain, semi-final at the San Siro (Milan, ITA) on 10/06/2021

Euro 2020 winners Italy, now fifth in the FIFA rankings, host eighth-placed Spain in the UEFA Nations League semi-final on Wednesday 06/10/2021 (kick-off 20:45 CET) at the Stadio Giuseppe-Meazza (Milan, ITA) which is expecting 37,000 fans.

The Spanish Football Federation (Real Federacion Espanola de Futbol, RFEF), chaired by Luis Rubiales since May 2018 (re-elected on 21/09/2020 for four years), boasts over 900,000 licensed players (2019) and a turnover of €230.6m for the financial year 2020, while the Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio (FIGC), headed by Gabriele Gravina since October 2018 (re-elected on 22/02/2021), has just over 1.1 million licensees and posted revenues of €174m for the financial year 2019. The FIGC's projected turnover for 2021, presented before Euro 2020, amounted to €197.3m and therefore does not take into account Italy's victory, which brought in around €36m (including commercial agreements).
