Bundesliga: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts of the 18 clubs (October 2021)

The 18 clubs competing in the 2021-22 Bundesliga season have nearly 143 million fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/10/2021. The Bundesliga, which has an average of over 7.9 million fans per club, is the least followed championship among the European Top 5 on these three social networks combined, and was overtaken by Ligue 1 Uber Eats (157 million fans, for 20 clubs) during summer 2021.

FC Bayern Munich remain the most-popular German club with more than 87 million fans, far ahead of Borussia Dortmund with 33 million. Bayer 04 Leverkusen complete the podium with nearly 5 million fans.

Bayern was the club that experienced the best growth in absolute value during September 2021, with 737,905 additional fans, 71% of them on Instagram alone (+527,464 followers).

Promoted SpVgg Greuther Fürth posted the best percentage growth among the Bundesliga clubs on Instagram (+4.2%), as did VfL Wolfsburg on Facebook (+1.1%) and Borussia Dortmund on Twitter (+0.8%).
