LaLiga: €705m/year in international TV rights over the 2019-2022 period versus a forecast €897m

LaLiga has posted average revenues of €705m per season over the 2019-2022 period for its international broadcasting rights, according to figures present by the body's president, Javier Tebas, at the international sports and media convention Sportel Monaco, on 06/10/2021. This amount will rise to €753m for the 2022-23 season.

The Spanish league had previously communicated an average amount of €897m per year, for the 2019-2024 cycle, when the Spanish audiovisual group Mediapro extended its contract for the marketing of the league's international rights, on 21/06/2018.

LaLiga's domestic TV rights for the 2019-2022 cycle amount to €1.112bn per season (+€36m in production costs borne by the broadcasters), according to figures released by Javier Tebas. LaLiga granted a discount of around 5% to its broadcasters in Spain (Telefonica and Mediapro) for the entire 2019-2022 contract, following the temporary suspension of the 2019-20 season at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.
