Matchday 7 of the 2021-22 Serie A TIM season drew an average of 12,531 spectators per game, from Friday 01 to Sunday 03/10/2021. The average fill rate was just 37.7%.

These unusually low numbers for the Italian championship can be explained by the restrictions in force in all Italian stadiums due to the health crisis resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic. The authorities, through a decree on 22/07/2021, have in fact fixed the capacity of stadiums at 50%, with a checkerboard layout (one seat occupied, one seat empty). However, this cap will rise to 75% in October.

AS Roma - Empoli FC (2-0), on 03/10/2021 (kick-off at 18:00 CET), was the game that posted the best attendance with 31,946 spectators at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome (ITA), for a fill rate of 46.6%.
