World Rugby: Mastercard activates its partnership for the 2021 Women's World Cup

Mastercard, a payment solutions company, has activated its partnership with World Rugby ahead of the 2021 Women's World Cup in New Zealand and has introduced its new brand ambassadors and a range of digital content dedicated to female athletes, announced the US-based company on 07/10/2021.

"As the one-year countdown for Rugby World Cup 2021 in New Zealand begins, Mastercard is strengthening its commitment to women's rugby. Maggie Alphonsi (ENG), Portia Woodman (NZL) and Safi N'Diaye (FRA) are joining the all-star roster of athletes who serve as Mastercard Global Brand Ambassadors in recognition of their advocacy for advancing women in the global sport, as well as their talent on the pitch," said Mastercard, which has been in partnership with World Rugby since 2011. The group is notably committed to women's rugby until 2025.
