The executive committee of the FFF (French football federation) on 24/07/2014 approved the use of vanishing spray for free-kick lines in Ligue 1, Ligue 2, National (French third division), Women's Ligue 1 and the Coupe de France (the French national cup, starting in the round of 64 for men and round of 32 for women) from the 2014-15 season on.

The French federation is the third European federation to announce that it will use the vanishing spray in 2014-15. The vanishing spray allows referees to draw a white line on the ground for the wall for a free kick. The FIGC (Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio, the Italian football federation) announced on 18/07/2014 that it had approved its use for Serie A, Serie B and Lega Pro (third Italian professional division). The RFEF (the Spanish football federation) did likewise on 23/07/2014 for Liga BBVA and Liga Adelante (second Spanish division).

The product is produced by Fair Play 9.15 Limit, an Argentine company. It disappears after one minute without damaging the grass. The estimated cost per unit is £3 (€3.8).
