"What we've seen a lot this year is a greater desire from rights owners to own a relationship with the fan directly, and part of it I think has been accelerated because of the pandemic but this trend was happening anyway," said Jason Bradwell, senior director group marketing and communications at Deltatre, a technology and service solutions company for sports broadcasters and event organisers, to News Tank Football at Sportel Monaco 2021, on 06/10/2021.

"The conversation right now is: 'how do we build a platform, get people using the platform and engage our customers?' and it's turning into: 'how do we monetise these platforms?'," said Bradwell.
