LFP: 2022-23 Ligue 1 Uber Eats and Ligue 2 BKT calendars validated by the FFF executive committee

The FFF executive committee has validated the general competition calendar for the 2022-23 season on 14/10/2021. The LFP board had adopted the dates for the Ligue 1 Uber Eats and Ligue 2 BKT seasons at its meeting on 13/10/2021, according to the Ligue de Football Professionnel on 14/10/2021.

In the Ligue 1 Uber Eats, Matchday 1 of the 2022-23 season will take place on the weekend of 06 and 07/08/2022. Four Ligue 1 matchdays (Matchdays 5, 16, 18 and 21) will take place on weekdays (versus three in 2021-22).

• Matchday 15 of the Ligue 1 season, scheduled for the weekend of 12 and 13/11/2022, will be the last before the international break in connection with the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, which FIFA has moved to November-December in order to avoid the scorching summer heat in the Persian Gulf.

• Matchday 16 will take place in its entirety on Wednesday 28/12/2022 in the form of a "French boxing day" exactly 10 days after the World Cup final. Matchday 17 is also scheduled during the festive season, on Sunday 01/01/2023.
