Ticketing: German group CTS Eventim acquires a majority stake in Simply-X

CTS Eventim, a German group specialised in ticketing and live entertainment, has announced the acquisition of a majority stake in Simply-X, a software and hardware developer in the field of access control and ticketing, on 07/10/2021. CTS intends to offer its customers "a one-stop shop for event organisation."

Simply-X, a German company with "more than 20 years in the technology industry", offers solutions in the field of electronic access control, payments, loyalty, digital signage and applications for fans. It has 40 employees and 250 customers, including sports clubs and stadiums, via its Simply-Stade arm (see below).

"A great many customers are already successfully using our solutions together with those of CTS Eventim and these systems will be even easier to combine in future. At the same time, Simply-X will be retaining its independence so that it can continue helping other partners with their digitalisation journeys," said Matthias Bode, CEO of Simply-X.
