Formula 1: start of the 2022 season in Bahrain on 20/03, new Miami Grand Prix on 06-08/05/2022

Formula One Group has presented the 2022 Formula One Grand Prix calendar on 15/10/2021. A record 23 races are on the programme, with a new GP scheduled for Miami (Florida, USA) from 06 to 08/05/2021, the second race to be held in the United States in the 2022 season. The season will end in Abu Dhabi (UAE) on the weekend of 18-20/11/2022.

While the 2021 season initially comprised 23 races, only 22 will have taken place by the end of the season (17 races in 2020). Cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic, the Australian Grand Prix (in Melbourne) has been confirmed for the 2022 season. This is not the case for the Chinese GP, also cancelled in 2020. "China will be restored to the calendar as soon as conditions allow," said Formula One Management.

The 2022 British Grand Prix will be contested from 01 to 03/07/2022. The Saudi Arabian GP, introduced in 2021, is also scheduled to be held in Jeddah in 2022, while the new race in Qatar in 2021 is not scheduled for 2022 but will return to the F1 calendar in 2023.
