2021-22 LaLiga Santander: attendance for Matchday 9 (18,889 spectators on average per game)

Matchday 9 of the 2021-22 LaLiga Santander season drew an average of 18,889 spectators per game, from Saturday 16 to Monday 18/10/2021. The average fill rate was 53.8%. Only eight games have been played as Granada CF - Club Atlético de Madrid and Real Madrid CF - Athletic Club Bilbao were postponed due to the unavailability of several of Atlético and Real's South American international players who were involved in 2022 World Cup qualifiers in the Conmebol zone during an international window that was longer than expected (FIFA's decision to make up for matches that could not take place earlier due to the Covid-19 pandemic).

The Spanish championship is back to attendance figures that are more in line with those within stadiums prior to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. Matchday 8 marked the end of the partial capacity restrictions imposed by the public authorities on all Spanish stadiums since the beginning of the season due to the health crisis.
