Wolverhampton Wanderers FC: US firm PEAK6 acquires a stake in Fosun Sports (CHN), owner of the club

PEAK6 Investments, a US investment firm specialised in finance and technology, has acquired a minority stake in Fosun Sports, the holding company that owns Wolverhampton Wanderers FC (Premier League) and all its associated brands and businesses, according to the club on 19/10/2021. Fosun Sports, a newly created entity, is a subsidiary of Fosun International, a Chinese conglomerate operating in the fields of healthcare, finance and entertainment.

"The investment makes PEAK6 a new strategic partner to Wolves, who will help Fosun Sports accelerate the club's growth in North America by providing capital, expertise, visibility, and activation opportunities for Wolves and Wolves Esports across the USA," said Wolves. PEAK6 and Fosun had previously come together in July 2021 with the signing of a partnership between the club and Evil Geniuses, an esports structure acquired by the investment firm in 2019.
