Amateur football: DFB launches web forum to communicate with users

The new version of the amateurs-only website (www.fussball.de) of the DFB (German Football Association) has a forum that enables users to communicate with the DFB on issues in amateur football, the DFB announced on 29/07/2014.

Users can also post videos and photos of amateur games. "In addition to real-time updates of scores and statistics for more than 80,000 games played each week in Germany, this new version offers profiles of German amateur players and teams [there were 26,000 teams in 2014], as well as a lot of other information," said Wolfgang Niersbach, the president of the DFB, on 28/07/2014.

The German postal service Deutsche Post, DFB's partner since 15/06/2012, is also a strategic partner of fussball.de. "Football, like Deutsche Post, creates links between people. This is why we created this communication platform that will be used by millions of people," said Jürgen Warres, president of the regional federation of amateur football of Baden-Württemberg on 28/07/2014.
