Formula 1/NBA: a free throw challenge for F1 drivers on the sidelines of the United States GP

The National Basketball Association (NBA) and Formula One Group (F1) have launched a collaboration to provide content and activations to celebrate both the start of the NBA's 75^th anniversary season and F1's return to the United States at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, (Texas, USA), on 22/10/2021, announced the two organisations on 21/10/2021.

"On Thursday, 21/10/2021 F1 Teams will battle it out off-the-track, in a free throw challenge at the NBA 75^th Anniversary-themed basketball half-court, within the Circuit of the Americas paddock. NBA legends will be onsite at the ESPN Studio to coach drivers as they compete against each other to secure the most free throws possible out of 10 shots, with $20,000 up for grabs for the winning team to donate to a charity of its choice," explained the bodies.
