Bundesliga: Würth (construction products) and Fanuc (robotics) partner with VfB Stuttgart

Würth, a German company specialised in the distribution of construction products, and Fanuc, a Japanese manufacturer of industrial robots, extended their sponsorship contracts with VfB Stuttgart (Bundesliga) through 2015-16, the club announced on 29/07/2014.

The two companies moved up in the club's sponsorship hierarchy to become premium (second-level) partners. Würth will be displayed on LED advertising and will hold the naming rights of the hospitality space of the Mercedes-Benz Arena (capacity 60,000), which will now be called the "Würth Football Lounge". The partnership is estimated at €1.5m per year.

Fanuc, a club sponsor since 2007-08, will also be displayed on LED advertising and will collaborate on several actions with the club in the stadium during games. Fanuc also obtained several hospitality packages. The partnership is estimated at €1m per year.

  • VfB Stuttgart announced on 29/07/2014 a turnover of €114.8m for 2013.
    • €20.3m of this was sponsorship revenue (up 10% compared to 2012).
