Portugal: Emirates partners with Benfica through 2015-16

The airline Emirates became an official partner of Benfica (Lisbon, Portugal, Liga Sagres, the Portuguese first division) on 28/07/2014; the partnership will last through 2015-16.

The airline, located in Dubaï (UAE), will be displayed on pitch-side advertising in the Estádio da Luz (capacity 60,000). The partnership also includes hospitality packages and the organisation of several events in collaboration with Benfica.

The company will also use Benfica's image and that of its players in Portugal for its advertising campaigns. Emirates is also a sponsor of Portuguese international Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid).

• Emirates is the official partner of the golf tournament Portugal Masters (from 09 to 12/10/2014 in Vilamoura, POR), which is part of the European Tour, the European golf circuit.
• The airline company has offered a Dubai-Lisbon link since July 2012.
• Benfica will play in the 2014 Emirates Cup, a friendly tournament hosted in Emirates Stadium in London from 02 to 03/08/2014.
