2021-22 Serie A TIM: attendance for Matchday 9 (20,369 spectators on average per game)

Matchday 9 of the 2021-22 Serie A TIM season drew an average of 20,369 spectators per game, from Friday 22 to Sunday 24/10/2021. The average fill rate was 51.6%.

These increasing figures remain unusually low for the Italian Championship and can be explained by the restrictions in force in all Italian stadiums due to the health crisis resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic. The authorities, through a decree on 22/07/2021, had fixed the capacity of stadiums at 50% at the beginning of the season. This cap has been raised to 75% since Matchday 8 (16, 17 and 18/10/2021).

FC Inter Milan - Juventus FC (1-1), on 24/10/2021 (kick-off at 20:45 CET), was the match that posted the best attendance with 56,532 spectators at the Stadio Giuseppe-Meazza (Milan, ITA), for a fill rate of 72.2%. It is even the best attendance in Serie A since the beginning of the season.

The average attendance of the 2021-22 Serie A TIM is just 14,153 spectators per game after nine matchdays, for an average fill rate of 38.9%.
