OL Groupe: revenues of €177.4m (- 35%) and net loss of €107m in 2020-21

OL Groupe's total revenues for the financial year 2020-21 (from 01/07/2020 to 30/06/2021) amounted to €177.4m, down 35% compared to 2019-20 (€271.6m), announced the holding company that owns Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) on 26/10/2021. OL Groupe posted a net loss of €107m, compared with a €36.5m deficit at the end of the previous financial year.

"Over the year, the Covid-19 pandemic halted all activities related to Groupama Stadium (ticketing and events). The Group was also buffeted by the club's absence from European competition (after the 2019-20 Ligue 1 season was halted prematurely) and by the October 2020 default of Mediapro, which had been the principal broadcaster of Ligue 1 matches. OL Groupe estimates the total direct and indirect financial impact of the pandemic on its total revenue, including Mediapro's default and the shortfall arising from its absence from the 2020-21 Champions League competition (assuming it would have reached the Round of 16) to be approximately €150m (excluding player trading)," said OL Groupe as it unveiled its 2020-21 annual accounts…
