DAZN: British group considering an IPO on Wall Street (press)

The UK-based global OTT sports platform DAZN is considering an IPO on Wall Street (New York, United States), according to the Italian business daily Milano Finanza, on 27/10/2021.

"The market window is favourable, and DAZN could benefit from the large number of SPAC (Special Purpose Acquisition Company) in search of a fast-growing technology company, which would shorten the listing process. Moreover, compared to European markets, Wall Street is more generous in valuing companies with increasing revenues but negative income due to large investments," according to the Italian daily. DAZN indeed posted a net loss of $1.4bn (€1.14bn) in 2019, according to figures disclosed in the media earlier in 2021.

"If circumstances were right, I can see us tapping the public capital markets or the private capital markets over the next few years," said James Rushton, co-CEO of DAZN to the news agency Reuters, on 08/04/2021.
