"Sky Sports recorded highest-ever day (on Sunday 24/10/2021) of viewing thanks to Premier League, Formula One and ICC Men's T20 World Cup (cricket)," announced the British pay-TV operator on 26/10/2021.

"An average of 1.2m viewers tuned in to Sky Sports channels between 06:00 (local time, 07:00 CET) on 24/10/2021 and 02:00 (local time, 03:00 CET) on 25/10/2021, with a reach of over 8m. Numbers peaked at 4.5m viewers at 17:50 (local time, 18:50 CET), headlined by the Premier League match between Manchester United FC and Liverpool FC, and the ICC Men's T20 World Cup match between India vs Pakistan," said Sky Sports.

"Another highlight of the day saw customers tune in for the USA Grand Prix in Austin from 20:00 (local time, 21:00 CET) to see Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton continue to fight for the Formula One world title. It was a bumper day of live sport, with a Super Sunday double-header headlined by Manchester United - Liverpool and West Ham United FC - Tottenham Hotspur FC on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League", added the pay-TV operator.
