2022 World Cup: Accor (hotel group) to manage Qatar's real estate portfolio until the end of 2022

Accor, a French hotel group, has been named "main accommodation partner" of the 2022 World Cup by the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC), the Qatari body overseeing the development of the infrastructure for the competition, on 28/10/2021.

Accor, "a world leading hospitality group consisting of more than 5,200 properties and 10,000 food and beverage venues throughout 110 countries," has thus been appointed to manage the tournament host country's real estate portfolio (and associated services) until the end of 2022.

"The agreement will see Accor provide personnel to operate what will be the largest serviced real estate operation in the world, and include front office (check-in/check-out), operational supplies and equipment as well as housekeeping services among others. The agreement will make use of the country’s full real estate portfolio, further illustrating Qatar’s commitment to sustainability," said the SC.
