UEFA Women's Euro 2022: €500 per player per day for the European clubs of selected internationals

UEFA will distribute €4.5m to the European clubs where the international players of the 16 national teams participating in the Women's Euro 2022 in England (from 06 to 31/07/2022) play, with a guaranteed minimum amount of €10,000 per player, announced the European body on 26/10/2021, following the decisions of its executive committee on 22/09/2021.

"The total amount paid (€500 per day) will be calculated according to the number of days that a player is released for the final tournament: this will cover ten preparation days, the total number of days a player participates in the tournament, plus one additional travel day," said UEFA.

This is the first time that clubs will be compensated during a Women's Euro. For the men's competition, on the other hand, this practice has been in place since the 2008 edition co-hosted by Austria and Switzerland.
