LaLiga: launch of a call for tenders for TV rights in Spain from 2022-23 (3 to 5-year cycle)

LaLiga has launched a call for tenders for the broadcasting rights to LaLiga Santander in Spain (exclusive) and Andorra (non-exclusive) from the 2022-23 season, for a cycle of three (until 2024-25), four (until 2025-26) or five seasons (until 2026-27), on 03/11/2021. Interested candidates have until 24/11/2021 to enquire and until 13/12/2021 (12:00 CET) to submit their bids.

"The main difference from the procedure that covered the 2019-20 to 2021-22 seasons is the breakdown into different alternative options, each with its corresponding lots. The inclusion of seven options allows interested broadcasters to choose one or several options that best suit their preferences or operating capacities, without the rigidity of having a single option. Once the bids received have been assessed, LaLiga will allocate, in accordance with the allocation criteria described in the procedure, only one of the options with its respective lots," said LaLiga.
