Chris Liddel (USA) was appointed CFO of the marketing and media rights agency IMG and of the artist representation agency WME (William Morris Endeavor Entertainment), the two organisations announced on 30/07/2014.

IMG was purchased by WME for $2.3bn (approximately €1.7bn) on 18/12/2013.

Chris Liddell, 56, will replace Peter Klein, who had resigned on 08/07/2014, seven months after he took on the role on 23/12/2013. The resignation was due to the difficulties WME had in repaying the €113m loan used for the purchase of IMG, the American newspaper the New York Post reported on 08/07/2014.

Chris Liddell had previously served as vice chairman and CFO of General Motors, an American automobile manufacturer, from January 2010 to March 2011. He was also the treasurer of the campaign of Republican candidate Mitt Romney during the 2012 American presidential elections.
