Russian federation to welcome three Crimean clubs to third division beginning in 2014-15

Three Crimean clubs -- SKChF Sebastopol, Tavria Simferopol and Zhemchuzhina Yalta --- will be integrated into the Second Division South, Russia's third tier, in 2014-15, the Russian Federation announced on 31/07/2014.

SKChF (formerly PFC Sevastopol) and Tavria Simferopol played in the Ukrainian Premier League in the 2013-14 season. They were kicked out of the Ukrainian first division on 03/07/2014, after asking to be brought into the Russian Federation when Crimea proclaimed its independence from Ukraine on 11/03/2014.

"We cannot do the work of FIFA [Fédération Internationale de Football Association] and UEFA [Union of European Football Associations]. We hope that in the near future these bodies take the corresponding decisions. [...] The federation wants justice and the absence of politics in football, both in Russia and in Crimea," said the Ukrainian federation, in challenging the integration of the clubs into the Russian league on 31/07/2014.
