LaLiga Santander: Instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts of the 20 clubs (November 2021)

The 20 clubs in the 2021-22 LaLiga Santander season have 561 million fans on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, according to data compiled by News Tank Football on 01/11/2021. This total makes the Spanish first division the second most popular European Top 5 league on the three social networks combined, behind the Premier League (606 million fans), with an average of 28 million fans per club.

Real Madrid CF is the most popular Spanish club with 256 million fans, while FC Barcelona, second, with nearly 244 million, are ahead of the 2020-21 Spanish champions, Club Atlético de Madrid, in third place with 31.8 million.

Real Madrid posted the best growth in absolute value during the month of October 2021 with an additional 1.53 million followers in total, 97% of which were on Instagram alone. Only Manchester United FC (+2.37 million) and Paris Saint-Germain (+1.8 million) performed better among clubs playing in the European Top 5 over the same period.
