UEFA: France interested in hosting Women's Euro 2025; 4 other candidates (including a joint bid)

France, Switzerland, Poland, Ukraine, as well as a joint bid from four Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden), are the five potential bids received by UEFA (by the deadline of 28/10/2021) for the organisation of the Women's Euro 2025, announced the European body on 04/11/2021.

For the time being, these are only declarations of interest. The deadline for the submission of bids is 12/10/2022. The UEFA executive committee will then select the host national association(s) in December 2022.

"UEFA has responded to the ever-increasing surge in popularity of women's football by raising the standards for hosting the event in 2025. As part of a flexible bidding process, bidders are recommended to present eight category 4 stadiums, with a variety of capacities ranging from >15,000 to >30,000," explained the European Confederation.
