Bundesliga: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts of the 18 clubs (November 2021)

The 18 clubs competing in the 2021-22 Bundesliga season have nearly 144 million fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/11/2021. The Bundesliga, which has an average of 8 million fans per club, is the least followed championship among the European Top 5 on these three social networks combined, and was overtaken by Ligue 1 Uber Eats (160 million fans, for 20 clubs) during summer 2021.

FC Bayern Munich remain the most-popular German club with more than 88 million fans, far ahead of Borussia Dortmund with nearly 34 million. Bayer 04 Leverkusen complete the podium with 4.8 million fans.

Bayern was the club that posted the best growth in absolute value during October with an additional 606,291 fans, 79% of which were on Instagram alone.

Bayer Leverkusen posted the best percentage growth among the Bundesliga clubs on Instagram (+3.4%), as did Borussia Mönchengladbach on Facebook (+1.4%) and Bayern Munich on Twitter (+0.8%).
