FA Cup: Emirates (airline) extends naming rights until 2023-24

The airline Emirates will retain the naming rights to The FA Cup for a further three seasons (2021-2024), announced The FA on 05/11/2021. 729 clubs are registered to take part in the 2021-22 Emirates FA Cup, the 150^th edition of the competition, the first round of which (excluding the preliminary phase) began the same day.

Emirates had previously extended its naming rights to the competition for a further three seasons (2018-2021) on 09/08/2017. The airline is a first level partner in the sponsorship hierarchy of the oldest football competition in the world (first edition in 1871-72).

The FA Cup has been known as the "Emirates FA Cup" since the 2015-16 season, after Emirates acquired the naming rights on 30/05/2015, for an estimated £10m (€11.1m as of 09/08/2017)  per season according to British media. The amount was the same for the 2018-2021 cycle.
