1.FC Köln: Rewe (retail) extends as main shirt sponsor until 2024-25

Rewe, a retail group based in Cologne (GER), has extended its role as main shirt sponsor of 1. FC Köln (Bundesliga) for "at least" three more seasons (2022-2025), announced the German club on 04/11/2021. "Rewe and FC Köln have extended their partnership earlier than expected," said the club.

Rewe, FC Köln's main shirt sponsor since the 2007-08 season, is paying the club an estimated annual fee of €7m over the 2018-2022 cycle (signed on 06/09/2017 for the 2018-2021 cycle including an option to extend for 2021-22). This amount will be similar for 2022-2025 according to German media. This sum would place FC Köln ninth place among the 18 Bundesliga clubs in 2021-22, which generate the most revenue from their shirt sponsorship contract.

This partnership covers 18 seasons, making it FC Köln's longest shirt sponsorship agreement and the third longest of all Bundesliga clubs (behind FC Bayern Munich & Deutsche Telekom and VfL Wolfsburg & Volkswagen).
