A record peak audience of 4,018,728 viewers was recorded on the Twitch channel of Riot Games, the organiser and main broadcaster of the Worlds 2021, during the final of the competition won by the Chinese team EDward Gaming (LPL) 3 matches to 2 versus the South Korean defending champions DWN Kia (LCK) on 06/11/2021 (at 13:00 CET), according to Esports Charts, a site specialised in esports audiences, on 07/11/2021.

This figure of 4 million viewers (not including statistics in China) therefore exceeds the previous record for the League of Legends World Championship finals of 3.882 million viewers (+3.5% in 2021 compared to 2020) set on the American publisher's Twitch channel during the match between China's Suning (LPL) and DWN Kia (1-3) on 31/10/2020.

This peak audience even surpasses the all-time record of 3.9 million viewers posted in 2019 during the quarter-final between South Korea's T1 (LCK) and Europe's G2 Esports (LEC , 1-3) on 03/11/2019.
