LFP: Uber Eats extends as title sponsor of Ligue 1 for two seasons (2022-2024)

Uber Eats, a meal delivery application and subsidiary of independent mobile driver app Uber, has extended as the title sponsor of Ligue 1 for two additional seasons, 2022-2024, announced Uber Eats and the Ligue de Football Professionnel the day after the LFP's board of directors meeting on 10/11/2021.

The French top flight has been named "Ligue 1 Uber Eats" since 2020-21. The annual amount for this new rights cycle will increase significantly: the League is expected to receive €16m in 2022-23 and €17m in 2023-24, according to the French sports daily L'Équipe. In 2020-21, the American group's French subsidiary paid €14m to the LFP, then €16m over 2021-22. Uber Eats first became an official partner (second level) of the League in 2019-20 for an estimated annual amount of €3m. In total, Uber Eats will therefore have paid the LFP €66m over the 2019-2024 cycle.
