Instagram: France, the first national football team to reach 10 million followers

The French football team has become the first national team to pass the 10 million followers mark on Instagram, according to the French Football Federation (FFF) on 08/11/2021. France is ahead of Brazil (9.2 million followers, as of 10/11/2021) and England (7.5 million).

The number of followers of the French team on Instagram has increased by 16.3% in just over five months. On the eve of Euro 2020, France had 8.6 million followers on the platform, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/06/2021.

The French national team has more than 25 million followers on the main social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok, as of 10/11/2021). In addition to Instagram, it is also the most followed national team on TikTok. On Facebook, however, France is outranked by the Brazilian (11.8 million likes), Mexican (11.1 million), English (8 million) and German (6.5 million) national teams, as well as on Twitter by Mexico (6.3 million followers).
