Italy: DAZN to allow subscribers to be connected on 2 devices at the same time this season

The OTT sports platform DAZN says it will allow its subscribers in Italy to be connected on two devices at the same time, at least for the 2021-22 season, on 11/11/2021.

"Since the start of the Serie A football championship (2021-22 season), we have seen a considerable increase in incorrect behaviour that cannot be ignored. However, out of respect for those who use sharing correctly and in order to protect the interest of our subscribers, no changes will be introduced during the current season," explained DAZN. The platform had originally planned the change for mid-December 2021, according to Italian press just before the statement.

"This is a victory on all fronts for Codacons (Italian consumers' association) and the fans the association represents against DAZN. From now on Codacons will continue and strengthen its monitoring activity on the quality of the platform's service and on the future decisions that DAZN adopts vis-à-vis its customers," announced Codacons (Italian consumers' association), on 12/11/2021.
