Italy: Socios.com, partner of the FIGC and title sponsor of the Women's Coppa Italia (2021-2023)

Socios.com, a cryptocurrency blockchain platform owned by Maltese companies ChiliZ and Mediarex Sports & Entertainment, has become a partner of the Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio (FIGC) for two seasons (2021-2023), announced the Italian body on 12/11/2021.

The agreement covers all of the Italian national teams. As part of the partnership, Socios.com will launch the official token of the reigning European champions ("$ITA Fan Token") on its fan engagement and rewards platform. Socios.com also becomes the title sponsor of the Women's Coppa Italia for two seasons, succeeding Telecom Italia (TIMvision), title partner of the competition for the 2019-2021 period.

"Revenues from the sale of $ITA Fan Tokens will be reinvested into the Italian Football Federation, especially at youth level, with funds to be allocated to improve training facilities, coaching and player resources in order to promote the long term development and continued success of the national team," said the FIGC.
