LFP: over 20 million followers on social networks (+25% versus the end of May 2020)

"Thanks to international development and the work of the digital teams, the LFP recorded more than 20 million followers on its social networks by 01/11/2021," announced the Ligue de Football Professionnel on 16/11/2021.

The League's various platforms (Ligue 1, Ligue 2 and LFP) had a combined total of 11.2 million fans (including 3.5 million overseas) as of 01/10/2019, before passing the 15 million mark (45% of which are international) at the end of May 2020.

"The audience continues to become more international with more than 3.2 million additional followers on social networks in foreign languages (+48% vs July 2020), i.e. twice as many fans recruited as in France. (...) This dynamic has accelerated with the arrival of Lionel Messi in Ligue 1 Uber Eats. The Argentinian star has enabled the LFP to record its strongest increase on social networks since the creation of all the accounts: +854,000 additional fans during the month of August 2021," said the LFP.
