Sportradar: NBA extends its agreement and acquires an equity stake

Sportradar AG, a Swiss company specialised in sports betting monitoring and sports data provision, has extended its agreement with the National Basketball Association, the WNBA and the NBA G League for several years, on 17/11/2021. "This new partnership begins with the 2023-24 NBA season and provides the NBA with an equity stake in Sportradar." The deal reportedly covers eight seasons, until 2030-31, during which the NBA will own up to 3% of Sportradar, according to American media on the same day.

"This agreement maintains Sportradar as the exclusive provider of NBA data worldwide. Sportradar will continue to be both the authorized global distributor of official NBA and WNBA betting data and the distributor of live game video that is available to international sports betting operators for fans to experience in real time. The new relationship includes expanded distribution rights regarding the use of player tracking data.
