Qatar 2022: Nubank (BRA), regional supporter of the World Cup for Latin America

Nubank, a Brazilian online financial services company, has become a "regional supporter" of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar for Latin American markets, announced FIFA on 18/11/2021. The competition will take place in eight stadiums in the Persian Gulf emirate from 21/11 to 18/12/2022.

"The agreement covers the South American market and will provide the digital banking giant with a unique opportunity to engage with audiences in the region. Nubank will have access to tournament tickets, brand assets and archive content to develop promotions and additional opportunities to engage audiences in South America in the run-up to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022," said the international body.

The deal is Nubank's first sports sponsorship agreement. The Sao Paulo-based group joins Ooredoo (telecoms, QAT), GWC (logistics, QAT) and QNB Group (banking, QAT) as a third level sponsor of the first football World Cup to be held in the Middle East.
