Premier League: £20m in additional funding for Sky Bet League One and Sky Bet League Two clubs

The Premier League will provide an additional £20m (€23.8m) of funding for Sky Bet League One (third division) and Sky Bet League Two (fourth division) clubs during the 2021-22 season, as well as £5m (€5.9m) between now and 2025 for the 66 clubs in the three National League leagues (National League, 5^th division, National League North and National League South, 6^th division) "to help with their continued recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic," said the League on 18/11/2021.

In order to support English clubs in the Sky Bet Championship (second division), League One and League Two, which have been particularly affected by the lack of spectators in their stadiums due to the health crisis, the English Football League and the Premier League had previously announced, on 03/12/2020, a £50m (€55m) rescue plan for third and fourth division clubs, and their intention to set up a short-term emergency fund of up to £200m (€220m) for Championship clubs via a loan taken out by the EFL directly (see "further reading" section).
