2021-22 Bundesliga: attendance for Matchday 12 (28,678 spectators on average per game)

Matchday 12 of the 2021-22 Bundesliga season drew an average of 28,678 spectators per match, from Friday 19 to Sunday 21/11/2021. The average fill rate was 75.3%.

Although these figures are still modest on the scale of the German championship, they have nevertheless risen sharply since Matchday 8, thanks to the significant increase in the authorised capacity of German stadiums. The Union Berlin - Hertha BSC match (2-0), like FC Bayern Munich - SC Freiburg (2-1) on Matchday 11, was even played without any capacity limits and posted a 100% fill rate.

But the sharp rise in Covid-19 cases in some parts of Germany is forcing the authorities to lower the capacity locally. Thus, RB Leipzig's next three matches - at minimum - (two in the league and one in the Champions League) at the Red Bull Arena (47,069 capacity) will take place behind closed doors, while Bayern Munich is expected to have a 25% cap on spectators at the Allianz Arena (75,000 capacity) imposed by the Bavarian government until 15/12/2021.
