Georges Bodenheimer (USA) is appointed at the board of directors of Under Armour, said the American sports brand, on 06/08/2014.

Georges Bodenheimer, 56, had previously been the president of the American sports channel ESPN from 1998 to 2012. He also managed, as joint-president, Disney Media Networks, subsidiary of Walt Disney Company, which regroups the company's media activities, including the TV channels ESPN, ABC and Walt Disney Television.

"We are excited to have George Bodenheimer joining our Board," said Kevin Plank, Under Armour's Chairman and CEO. "His pioneering vision and his experience building and leading a global sports media brand will bring important perspective and expertise to our company as we continue to expand the Under Armour brand globally," he added.

The American brand, sponsor of Tottenham (Premier League), finished the year 2013 with a turnover of $2.33bn (€1.65bn), a 27% increase compared to 2012. Under Armour wants to reach a growth larger than 20% in 2014 and a $4bn (€2.88bn) turnover in 2016.
