Tottenham Hotspur FC: a turnover of £361.9m (-10%) and net loss of £80.2m in 2020-21

Tottenham Hotspur FC (Premier League) posted a turnover of £361.9m (€420.9m as of 30/06/2021) for the 2021 financial year (from 01/07/2020 to 30/06/2021), down by 10% compared to the 2020 financial year (£402.4m/€441m as of 30/06/2020), announced the English club on 23/11/2021. Tottenham posted a net loss of £80.2m (€93.3m, versus a loss of £63.9m/€70.1m in 2020).

This drop in turnover can be explained by very low matchday revenues (£1.9m/€2.2m) due to the Covid-19 pandemic (versus £94.5m/€103.5m in 2020). Tottenham received £23.6m (€27.4m) from UEFA for their performance in the Europa League (through to the Round of 16), compared with £51.2m (€59.5m) in 2020, when the club participated in the Champions League.

Commercial revenue fell by 5.8% from £161.5m (€176.9m) in 2020 to £152m (€176.8m) in 2021. According to the club, commercial revenue was "negatively impacted by the loss of third-party events such as NFL, concerts and tours" events cancelled due to the health crisis.
