FC Bayern Munich: a turnover of €643.9m (-7.8%) and net profit of €1.9m in 2020-21

FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) have posted a turnover of €643.9m in the 2021 financial year (from 01/07/2020 to 30/06/2021), down 7.8% versus the 2020 financial year (€698m), announced the club at its annual general meeting on 25/11/2021.

These revenues include the activities of the trading company FC Bayern München AG (in charge of the professional football section), the company Allianz Arena Stadion GmbH (in charge of the stadium) and the club's other subsidiaries.

The Bavarian club's main source of revenue, sponsorship and partnership income, rose to €206.7m (+5.2%). Merchandising revenues also increased (€100.3m, +9.3%), unlike TV rights for domestic competitions (€114.4m, -5.6%) and capital gains on player transfers (-49.1%). Revenues from competitions (€147.9m), which include ticket sales in particular, fell by only 3% despite matches being played behind closed doors for most of the season, due to the postponement of part of the payments due for 2019-20, to the 2020-21 financial year, particularly those linked to the Champions League, which Bayern won in August 2020.
