Six Nations Rugby: Ronan Dunne appointed non-executive chairman of the board from 01/01/2022

Ronan Dunne has been appointed non-executive chairman of the board at Six Nations Rugby with effect from 01/01/2022, according the company that owns the rights to the 6 Nations Tournament on 26/11/2021. "He will provide strategic direction to Six Nations Rugby's senior executive team, led by chief executive officer Benjamin Morel."

This appointment follows the strategic investment in Six Nations Rugby by the Luxembourg firm CVC Capital Partners (see below). The Six Nations Rugby Board is a newly created body that oversees the commercial and marketing operations of the men's, women's and U20 competitions, "as well as the Autumn Nations Series," explained the body.

"Dunne most recently served as CEO of Verizon Consumer Group, where he remains a strategic advisor to the Verizon CEO.
