"Sponsorship accounts for about a third of our total revenue, and we passed the €20m mark in sponsorship revenue a couple of years ago. This is a period of momentum and growth for us, which is appreciated after three years of very slow growth. It took us a year to return to pre-Covid sponsorship revenue, but as of today, it has grown 36% from 2019-20 to 2020-21. We are back to the growth level we were at before the pandemic," said Jose Luis Rosa-Medina, senior director corporate partnerships and licensing of Euroleague Basketball, to News Tank, on 29/11/2021.

"Our ambition pre-Covid was to double our sponsorship income by 2025. This has not changed at all, but Covid forced us to pause for two to three years, which means that we are now aiming at doubling this revenue by 2028," continued Jose Luis Rosa-Medina.
